My Education Philosophy

Who said every teacher likes apples? Perhaps they get others going, but I like a tropical sweetness with a dash of pucker.

A PINE·apple.

In 2006, I started my journey in education, and it's been one of realizations just like this.

What works for one person, might not work for the next.

That's what I've been doing all these years - developing ways to help education work for you. Whether supporting a 5th grader with ADHD to develop stronger writing skills, creating curriculum tailored for a diverse group of learners, or helping a doctoral degree applicant pass the GRE, my main interest is cultivating a love of learning for all.

Nurture • Engage • Release • Dare •

  • Nurture within each of us who it is we were called to be at our very core to greater capacity

  • Engage with the world around us safely, with curiosity and wonder that ignites and stokes the flames of passion for learning and service

  • Release one another into our next stage of life girded with the mindset and tools needed to replicate and expound from whence we began

  • Dare to leave this world better than we found it in preparation for the next seven generations
